Land Information New Zealand

The site includes a searchable database of 40,000 New Zealand place names that it will locate by latitude and longitude, NZ map grid references and nearby place names. The capabilities of the LINZ site are being extended so that all survey data can be lodged and retrieved on-line, while the LandonLine system is an automated survey and title service which to some extent duplicates the Terralink service. Soon all conveyancing will be completely automated. Topographic data can be ordered in digital form but is expensive.

Developed from the Maori land Information Base Project it provides information on Maori land via interactive maps and a searchable database of individual blocks.
