Fees for permit applications and changes

Annual permit fees 

(under the Crown Minerals Act 1991)

Prospecting permit$3.50 per sq km or part of a sq km or $500, whichever is greater
Exploration permit

Initial term - $3.50 per hectare or part of a hectare or $500, whichever is greater

Extension under section 37 (1) - $8.50 per hectare or part of a hectare or $500, whichever is greater

Extension under section 37 (2) - $8.50 per hectare or part of a hectare or $500, whichever is greater

Mining permit$10 per hectare or part of a hectare or $500, whichever is greater


 

Please note:

  • All fees are inclusive of GST
  • When making payments to Crown Minerals by telegraphic transfer please ensure the overseas bank charges are set to "ours". Overseas bank Charges for telegraphic transfers by default are set to "Ben" (beneficiary) and under this setting bank fees are deducted from your payment amount and Crown Minerals does not receive the full payment.
  • Cheques should be made out to "Crown Minerals".
